About This Demo

Trailmarks is a globe-spanning strategy adventure about travel, fact verification, and resource management. Travel by land, sea, and air, verify trivia, trade souvenirs, and manage time, money, and morale as you race to complete a full circumnavigation of the world.

This demo features 112 European cities on an interactive 3D globe. Travel by air, boat, bus, or train, each with different costs and routes. Strategic thinking matters: sometimes bus chains beat direct flights, while coastal routes open trading opportunities and boost mood. Your fact-checking work is trivia spanning History, Geography, Culture, Architecture, Food, Nature, Arts, and Sports. Correct answers earn money and maintain mood; mistakes drain both.

Mood management is critical. When it drops too low, you consult the faulty old Trailmarks guide for a boost, triggering random events: unexpected refunds, stolen phones, compensation claims, disappearing luggage or anything that can happen on the road.  To enter restricted nations, demonstrate expertise through quiz performance: master Food and Culture for culinary destinations, Geography and History for remote regions, Arts and Architecture for cultural capitals.

Between cities, buy regional goods and sell where they're valued, but cargo space limits you to three items. Each traveller type has distinct objectives, encouraging different approaches to the same geography. With 1,000+ quiz questions, repeated playthroughs feel distinct.
